I didn’t start Glitter Records with the aim of becoming Australia’s largest online record store.
I set out to build something that took music seriously—a place that respected music and the culture surrounding it. Especially the aspects that weren’t trending, the ones many were ignoring. Day by day, I applied myself to the work: listening, talking, reading, learning, and watching closely. I observed what collectors actually needed, not what others told them they should want.
I chose secondhand records, CDs, and older formats—not just out of preference but because it made sense. By focusing on older music, I could offer a broader, more diverse selection of hard-to-find, often forgotten recordings, all while embracing sustainability. This wasn’t just about selling — it was about building a lasting culture of collecting, one that values the past and what it has to offer.

In a world where record stores are closing and digital noise is on the rise, Glitter Records did this and has grown steadily by doing the opposite of loud. We’ve made it our mission to be deliberate, clear, and honest. That’s been our secret to growth, quietly accumulating a loyal customer base.

I couldn’t be more grateful to my family, who’ve supported the ever-growing warehousing operation, and to my friends who’ve stood by me from the beginning.
