Tame Imapla Child Kevin Parker The Glitter and Gold

It has been a big year for Tame Impala mastermind Kevin Parker.

Earlier this week Tame Impala swept the 2020 Australia Recording Industry Association (ARIA) awards.

Out of 7 overall nominations, the Tame Impala took home the award for Album of the YearBest Rock Album, Best Group, Engineer of the Year, and Producer of the Year.

Following the news, Kevin Parker’s wife Sophie Lawrence Parker announced a new pregnancy via Instagram.

Coming Jan ‘21,”  she shared.

Accompanying the message are a series of images of Lawrence and Kevin Parker, still in his ARIA outfit.

Sophie can be is seen wearing a long, multi-colored floral dress with baby bump clearly visible.

Kevin Parker has known Lawrence since age 13.

Meeting in high school, the pair began dating a year-and-a-half before Tame Impala’s third album Currents was released in 2015.

The pair married in February 2019.

Sophie Lawrence Parker currently works as a partner in the organic ice cream company Denada.

The pair reside in Perth, Australia.

Earlier this year, Parker bought the $2 million Wave House in Yallingup Western Australia.

This is the same property where Tame Impala recorded debut album InnerSpeaker and parts of Currents.

Kevin Parker and Sophie purchased the mansion for $2.75 million, a million less than the advertised asking price of $3.7 million.

Built by American producer Ken Eichenberg in the 1980s, the mansion has also welcomed the likes of Fatboy SlimThe Waifs, and the Beastie Boys.

The property also features a limestone amphitheater capable of holding up to 300 people.

With the sale not finalising until mid-2021, it could be a little while before Parker and his new family move in.

Currently off the road due to the international outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Tame Impala is expected to resume touring in mid-2021.

A 10th-anniversary reissue of debut Tame Impala album InnerSpeaker will arrive on March 26, 2021.
